BROWARD ELECTIONS OFFICE IS SET TO DELIVER OVER 100,000 VOTE-BY-MAIL BALLOTS FOR THE PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY ELECTION
Broward County, FL. (February 11, 2016)— On Tuesday, February 16, 2016, a semi-trailer truck from the U.S. Post Office will arrive at the Supervisor of Elections Voting Equipment Center. More than 100,000 ballots with pre-paid postage will be loaded onto the eighteen wheeler for the trip to the Opa- Locka post office. At this time, the ballots will be mailed out to Broward voters for the Presidential Preference Primary Election which takes place on March 15, 2016.
The media is invited to attend a viewing of the loading of the truck at the Supervisor of Elections Voting Equipment Center Office in Lauderhill on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. Once the truck is loaded, to ensure the safety of the vote-by-mail ballots, the Broward County Supervisor of Elections and Florida Highway Patrol Troopers will escort the truck to the United States Post Office in Opa-Locka. If news or radio stations would like to report live, Supervisor of Elections, Dr. Brenda C. Snipes, will be available onsite to answer any questions.
