Broward Supervisor of Elections Hosts Neighborhood Partnership Committee Meeting

BROWARD COUNTY, FL (August 22, 2024) – The Broward Supervisor of Elections Office is pleased to announce our quarterly Neighborhood Partnership Committee Meeting on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 4:00 PM. For the first time, this meeting will be held in our new state-of-the-art facility, located at 4650 NW 21st Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309.

This meeting serves as a key opportunity for community members, organizations and civic groups to gain valuable insights into the upcoming November 5th General Election. Attendees will learn about the critical steps being taken to ensure every vote is counted and that the electoral process remains transparent and secure. The meeting will also provide strategies for community engagement and ways to empower voters in Broward County.

A highlight of the event will be a guided tour of our newly established Corridor of Transparency. This verifiable space is where votes are processed and ballots are tallied, underscoring our commitment to maintaining the integrity of the democratic process. The Corridor of Transparency is a physical manifestation of our dedication to ensuring that all electoral processes are conducted with the highest level of accountability and openness.

"This is an exciting opportunity for residents to see democracy in action and to understand the meticulous steps we take to ensure the integrity of every vote," said Joe Scott, Broward Supervisor of Elections. "We invite everyone to join us in this effort to foster trust and confidence in our electoral system."

The event is free and open to the public. Community members are encouraged to attend, participate, and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about how we can work together to protect the sanctity of our elections.
