Public Records Requests

The Florida Department of State Division of Elections provides Primary and General Elections data and Voter Registration Statistics at no charge. Please visit the Data & Statistics section of their website for records such as, detailed elections results data, including precinct-level results, vote-by-mail and early voting data, and voter turnout; a variety of voter registration statistics, including current and historical voter registration reports.

The Broward County Supervisor of Elections Office maintains electronic records for all registered voters in Broward County. Pursuant to Section 119.01, Florida Statutes, these records are considered public information and may be requested by any person. Florida Statute does not permit the release of the social security number, driver license number, and Florida identification number. Charges and Fees can be found here. Registered Voter Information Report

Vote-by-Mail Data Requests
Charges and Fees can be found here. Payments may be made, dropped off at our main office, or be made online via PayPal.  Vote By Mail voter information is only available to authorized members of the public as defined in Florida Election Law (section 101.62 (3)). To request access to the Vote-by-Mail voter data files, please complete the online form, or email publicrecords@browardvotes.gov to obtain Vote-by-Mail Ballot Request Certification Form.


Campaign Finance Reports 
Campaign finance reports are filed electronically and are available to search either by election or by Candidate or Committee name. To request that a Campaign Finance report be produced through our office, please call (954) 712-1969, or email publicrecords@browardvotes.gov. A $20 processing fee is required to be paid online via Paypal or check made payable to the Broward County Supervisor of Elections. Payments may be made, dropped off at our main office, or be made online via PayPal.  Please include the following information on your request:

• Name(s) of the candidate(s) or committee(s)
• Year the candidate(s) or committee(s) filed
• Reporting Periods desired


Custom Public Records Requests
Cost is dependent on the size and complexity of the request and whether it requires a specialist or legal counsel to assist. A service charge will be warranted for copies, scans, reviewing of confidential information, and the re-filing of materials should it require 15 minutes or more to fulfill. Document pages of not more than 8.5 by 14 inches will be charged at a rate of 15 cents per page. Please send your request to publicrecords@browardvotes.gov.


Public Records/Ballot Inspection
Public Records or Ballot Inspection have a $50.00 hourly rate per Supervisor of Elections Staff member required.
