Important Information Regarding the March 19, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) & Municipal Elections Ballot Contest

Broward County, FL. (January 29, 2024) – The Broward County Supervisor of Elections would like to remind its residents that because Florida has closed primary elections, only registered voters of a Major Political Party will be eligible to vote for candidates or nominees representing their respective party.

Therefore, the only registered voters who will be receiving a ballot for the March 19th Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) & Municipal Elections will be registered Republicans across the county and voters residing in Hillsboro Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Pembroke Pines, and Sea Ranch Lakes. Voters registered as Democrats, No Party Affiliation, or any Minor Political Party living outside of these four cities will NOT have candidates or referendums to vote for on March 19th.

Important Dates and Information for the PPP Election:

  • New voters must be registered by Tuesday, February 20, 2024
  • The last day to change party affiliation is Tuesday, February 20, 2024
  • The last day to request a Vote-By-Mail Ballot is Thursday March 7, 2024
  • Early Voting will be available from Saturday, March 9, 2024, through Sunday March 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Election Day is Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
