Broward Supervisor of Elections Office Congratulates Staff for Recent Certification Completion

Broward County, FL. (September 8, 2015)   The Florida State Association of Supervisors of Elections (FSASE) has graduated seven (7) members of the Broward election leadership team for completion of the Florida Certified Elections Professional (FCEP) program.

The FCEP program offers continuing education and certification programs for elections’ officials with topics including voter registration, media relations, and managing election workers.  To date, the graduates include Dr. Brenda C. Snipes and Directors Fred Bellis, Mary Hall, Dozel Spenser, Ed Solomon, Pat Nesbit and Gino Herring.  An additional five staff members are enrolled in the program and expect to graduate in 2016.

“The FCEP program was developed by the FSASE back in 2007 and has steadily grown each year by providing professional training to Florida’s election administrators,” said Brian Corley, President of the FSASE.

The FCEP program is affiliated with the Florida Institute of Government.  Through continuing education the program encourages the highest level of professionalism for elections’ officials.   The FSASE was recognized recently by The Election Center for the development and success of this outstanding program. Corley also proudly announced “This recognition is affirmation of the hard work and dedication of Florida’s Supervisors and their staffs.”

The Election Center is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, preserving, and improving democracy and is comprised of government employees whose profession is to serve in voter registration and elections’ administration.
