Broward Elections’ Office is Ready to Deliver 2,940 Ballots to Overseas & Out-of-State Military Voters

 

 

Broward County, FL (July. 12, 2018) — On Friday, July 13, 2018, the Broward County Supervisor of Elections’ Office will send out approximately 2,940 vote-by-mail ballots to Overseas & Out-of-State Military voters for the Primary Election scheduled for         August 28th.  Ballots will be sent to Broward voters wherever they reside around the world, so long as the voter has requested a ballot.  Stateside family members are encouraged to contact their overseas family members to remind them to be on the lookout if they requested a ballot.

 

Domestic Vote-by-Mail ballots will be arriving in the mail boxes following the first mailing on July 24, 2018.  Requests for ballots to be mailed will be processed until     Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

 

Vote-by-Mail Reminders:

 

·         Read all sides of the ballot carefully.

·         Read and follow ballot instructions on how to return your ballot.

·         Return the vote-by-mail ballot with sufficient time for receipt prior to 7:00 p.m. on election day.

·         Overseas ballots may be returned up to seven days following the Primary Election, but must bear the post mark of August 28, 2018 to be counted.

Preparing to Vote in the City of Fort Lauderdale Municipal Primary Election

 

Broward County, Florida (Thursday, December 28, 2017) – City of Fort Lauderdale voters should prepare themselves to participate in the first election of the 2018 Election cycle.   Over 18,000 vote-by-mail ballots with pre-paid return postage have been sent out to date.  The last day to request a vote-by-mail ballot is January 10th.

 

Election Day is Tuesday, January 16, 2018.  Polls open from 7am-7pm.  This election encompasses the City of Fort Lauderdale Municipal Primary races for Mayor and City Commission Districts 2, 3, & 4. Voter Registration Deadline for the Fort Lauderdale Primary Election

 

 

Broward County, Florida (Monday, December 13, 2017) – The deadline to register for the Fort Lauderdale Municipal Primary Election is Monday, December 18, 2017.  The election is scheduled on January 16, 2018 at all Fort Lauderdale precincts.  All persons who reside in the City of Fort Lauderdale who are United States citizens, at least eighteen years of age without a felony conviction, not adjudicated mentally incapacitated, are eligible to register and vote in this election.
